Director of Community Partnerships and Programming

Location: Irvington, NY
Type: Full time

About the position:
The TNP Neighborhood initiative is about building connection and is critical in spreading our message. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

    • connecting with local community members via general outreach, face-to-face introductions, meetings, gatherings, programs and more
    • engaging with local residents, businesses, establishments and organizations to allow them to know and trust the TNP brand as well as consider TNP HQ for potential events and partnerships
    • managing the event space and all relations with hosts, guest speakers, ticket holders/audience members
    • liaising with all third-party vendors such as rentals, AV, catering, etc.
    • acting as the conduit between what is happening in the TNP space and the TNP team, ensuring engagement, flexibility and involvement by the TNP staff where necessary and appropriate
    • in conjunction with the Programming unit, TNP Academy and Head of People and Place, developing a calendar of events, pitching ideas and reaching out to potential speakers/partners
    • helping to establish Neighborhood Project groups in Irvington and the surrounds
    • alongside the Marketing / Communications unit, ensuring all necessary marketing andcommunications needs are met

Director of Brand Marketing

Location: Irvington, NY

About the position:

You will have tremendous impact on millions of lives. Our mission is to build neighborhood across America. (Neighborhood defined as meaning shared, face to face.)

The Marketing and Communications team is at the forefront of this mission, tackling one of the most invasive social epidemics of our time: the isolation emergency.

You will play a pivotal role in getting people to know and trust the TNP brand, creating brand awareness and a call to action to participate in a movement. There is tremendous creative freedom and strategic planning and hands-on management involved in the following areas of responsibility:

    • our signature live events
    • our social media channels 
    • with our content partners
    • with our Fellows and Scholars programs
    • the growth of our neighborhood database

Your role will lead the conceptualization and implementation of various social media campaigns – including philanthropic efforts, press events, branded media placement, brand collateral, branded product development, and building earned media while managing external partnerships.

You will work cross functionally with our TNP Labs (the film component of our branded experience) and our sales and service teams to deliver the most compelling brand creative marketing.

Job description:

  • in partnership with TNP leadership, create and execute communications strategy
  • manage and grow social media outlets (specifically Facebook and Instagram)
  • write, manage and execute email communication for various purposes (e.g.invitations, follow ups, etc.)
  • own the strategy behind the TNP websites and, with Head of Technology, makemodifications and updates – both large and small-scale – when appropriate
  • manage and execute advertising and marketing campaigns including all brandcollateral
  • in conjunction with Sr. Copywriter, create all headlines, captions and other copy forall purposes and outlets
  • execute TNP’s relationship and strategy in PR

Grant Manager

Location: Irvington, NY / Remote
Type: .5 with possibility of increase
Reporting to the Executive Director

We are searching for a spirited and service driven nonprofit professional to take on the newly created position of Grant Manager.

This job is for you if:
You first and foremost align with our mission to celebrate neighborhoods everywhere by supporting local talent, telling their stories, and sharing the meaning and wonder of human connection. You want to own all of the grant writing and reporting responsibilities, as well as help identify new grant opportunities. You like the idea of being the keystone to the growth of our small and mighty mission oriented start up.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Grant Management: Identifying opportunities; Submitting LOI’s; Writing full proposals; Managing awards and collaborating with Finance on distribution; maintaining funder relationship; leading all reporting requirements
  • Assisting with the execution of TNP Academy’s goals and objectives
  • Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents as required
  • Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases

  • Collaborating with Executive Director on a daily basis and staff from partner

    organizations

Required Attributes:

  • Desire to make the world a better place
  • 5+ years experience working for a nonprofit or equivalent; 2+ years experience in fundraising, ideally with grant writing
  • Excellent communication skills with an appreciation of their usefulness to internal
  • Creative thinker who can search for unique funding opportunities aligned with TNP Academy mission
  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities to be a task master when a deadline looms
  • Knowledge of grants database systems and external audiences
