Community Partnerships and Programming Manager

Location: Irvington, NY
Type: Full time

About the position:
The TNP Neighborhood initiative is about building connection and is critical in spreading our message. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

    • connecting with local community members via general outreach, face-to-face introductions, meetings, gatherings, programs and more
    • engaging with local residents, businesses, establishments and organizations to allow them to know and trust the TNP brand as well as consider TNP HQ for potential events and partnerships
    • managing the event space and all relations with hosts, guest speakers, ticket holders/audience members
    • liaising with all third-party vendors such as rentals, AV, catering, etc.
    • acting as the conduit between what is happening in the TNP space and the TNP team, ensuring engagement, flexibility and involvement by the TNP staff where necessary and appropriate
    • in conjunction with the Programming unit, TNP Academy and Head of People and Place, developing a calendar of events, pitching ideas and reaching out to potential speakers/partners
    • helping to establish Neighborhood Project groups in Irvington and the surrounds
    • alongside the Marketing / Communications unit, ensuring all necessary marketing andcommunications needs are met

Director of Brand Marketing

Location: Irvington, NY

About the position:

You will have tremendous impact on millions of lives. Our mission is to build neighborhood across America. (Neighborhood defined as meaning shared, face to face.)

The Marketing and Communications team is at the forefront of this mission, tackling one of the most invasive social epidemics of our time: the isolation emergency.

You will play a pivotal role in getting people to know and trust the TNP brand, creating brand awareness and a call to action to participate in a movement. There is tremendous creative freedom and strategic planning and hands-on management involved in the following areas of responsibility:

    • our signature live events
    • our social media channels 
    • with our content partners
    • with our Fellows and Scholars programs
    • the growth of our neighborhood database

Your role will lead the conceptualization and implementation of various social media campaigns – including philanthropic efforts, press events, branded media placement, brand collateral, branded product development, and building earned media while managing external partnerships.

You will work cross functionally with our TNP Labs (the film component of our branded experience) and our sales and service teams to deliver the most compelling brand creative marketing.

  • in partnership with TNP leadership, create and execute communications strategy
  • manage and grow social media outlets (specifically Facebook and Instagram)
  • write, manage and execute email communication for various purposes (e.g.invitations, follow ups, etc.)
  • own the strategy behind the TNP websites and, with Head of Technology, makemodifications and updates – both large and small-scale – when appropriate
  • manage and execute advertising and marketing campaigns including all brandcollateral
  • in conjunction with Sr. Copywriter, create all headlines, captions and other copy forall purposes and outlets

Neighborhood Project Program Assistant

Location: Irvington, NY
Type: Full time

About the position:

Our mission is to build neighborhood across America. (Neighborhood defined as meaning shared, face to face.)

The Neighborhood Project Program Assistant will serve as a program support colleague to the Head of the Neighborhood Project Community and will work cross-functionally with other TNP teams to meet immediate and long-term business objectives. 

A key charge of this role will be to maintain, support, and further build the Neighborhood Project network; to support existing and new Neighborhood Project hosts across the US, with a heavy focus on administering our evolving program; to monitor and engage with neighbors in our online community; and to act in direct support of the Head of the Neighborhood Project Community. This person is responsible for helping implement and refine our systems and procedures as our program and concept evolves. 

This role is for a hands-on self-starter with proven experience in community interaction, stakeholder services, client support and other personal interactions with a humanistic touch. It requires a relationship-building focus, a service outlook, and a high level of patience and understanding. We’re seeking someone ready to roll up their sleeves, link arms, and build a national, grassroots membership organization from the ground up.

What we are looking for:

Candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds will be considered for this role.  The selected candidate will demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence and be equal parts charismatic cheerleader and detail-oriented true believer in the power of restoring human connection, with extensive grass-roots movement and volunteer-coordination knowledge.  

  • 3 years or more experience building and growing voluntary organizations or teams. experience with a direct-sales company or volunteer-driven nonprofit would be perfect preparation for this mission of this initiative.  
  • strong organizational skills coupled with a customer-service mindset.
  • natural enthusiasm for people and an aptitude for building relationships. capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals. 
  • thrilled to be at a hungry start-up.  hard-working, prone to action.  energetic “can-do” attitude needed to foster growth.
  • works well under pressure. able to manage multiple tasks and adapt 
  • aptitude for technology. willingness to learn and utilize applications where the company’s productivity can be improved. Experience with ZenDesk, social media, CRM systems, and/or MailChimp or other email-sequencing and campaign tools a plus.
  • able to work some weekends and evenings, as needed, to pitch in for events.

Job description: 

  • communicate stats, metrics, KPIs, anecdotal findings and other indicators of progress or challenges to the Head of the Neighborhood Project Community to support the identification of problems and opportunities.
  • partner to use geographical and demographic market analysis to organize and support entry into undeveloped areas via cultivation events. 
  • work in concert with the Community Partnerships and Programming Manager to leverage in-house events to seed more local Neighborhood Projects.
  • maintain a strong presence with the Neighborhood Projects to ensure that we understand at all times how to motivate and retain them.  
  • other administrative tasks in direct support of the Head of the Neighborhood Project Community and the Neighborhood Project program.

Travel:

  • less than 10% travel.

Grant Manager

Location: Irvington, NY / Remote

Reporting to the Executive Director

We are searching for a spirited and service driven nonprofit professional to take on the newly created position of Grant Manager.

This job is for you if:
You first and foremost align with our mission to celebrate neighborhoods everywhere by supporting local talent, telling their stories, and sharing the meaning and wonder of human connection. You want to own all of the grant writing and reporting responsibilities, as well as help identify new grant opportunities. You like the idea of being the keystone to the growth of our small and mighty mission oriented start up.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Grant Management: Identifying opportunities; Submitting LOI’s; Writing full proposals; Managing awards and collaborating with Finance on distribution; maintaining funder relationship; leading all reporting requirements
  • Assisting with the execution of TNP Academy’s goals and objectives
  • Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents as required
  • Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases

  • Collaborating with Executive Director on a daily basis and staff from partner

    organizations

Required Attributes:

  • Desire to make the world a better place
  • 5+ years experience working for a nonprofit or equivalent; 2+ years experience in fundraising, ideally with grant writing
  • Excellent communication skills with an appreciation of their usefulness to internal
  • Creative thinker who can search for unique funding opportunities aligned with TNP Academy mission
  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities to be a task master when a deadline looms
  • Knowledge of grants database systems and external audiences
